ROSES is a research project financed by the french National Agency for Research (ANR) and supported by the french business cluster (pole de compétitivité) CapDigital.

French : Le projet ROSES (ANR-07-MDCO-011) a pour objectif la définition d'un ensemble de services de syndication pour la localisation, l'interrogation, la génération, la composition et la personnalisation de flux RSS sur le Web. L'approche proposée est fondée sur l'observation que la syndication web peut être considérée comme un problème particulier de gestion de données largement distribuées qui peut être résolue en combinant des infrastructures de partage de données pair-à-pair, la gestion de données XML et le traitement de requêtes continues.

English : The ROSES project (ANR-07-MDCO-011) aims at defining a set of web resource syndication services and tools for localizing, querying, generating, composing and personalizing RSS feeds available on the Web. The proposed approach is based on the observation that web content syndication can be considered as a particular large-scale distributed data management problem that might be solved by combining peer-to-peer data sharing infrastructures, XML data management and continuous query processing.
